"작가 김용주는 지난 10 여년간 갈고리와 걸림고리 부착식 직물(이하 ‘벨크로’)만 을 소재로 <생존>의 의미를 탐구하며 예술작품을 창작해왔다. 그녀의 작품은 영국 왕립박물관 빅토리아 알버트(V&A), 미국 아트디자인 박물관(MAD), 벨크로 기업 본사, 로스엔젤레스카운티 미술관(LACMA), 남호주미술관(AGSA), 국립현대 미술관 미술은행에 영구소장되어 있다.

“꼼므 두비트로”는 형태적 그리고 개념적으로 DDP와 연계성을 표현하고자 기획되었다. 형태적으로는 DDP를 공중에서 본 시각을 브로치의 형태로 추상화하였고 DDP의 알루미늄 표면을 추상화하기 위해서 회색 벨크로를 사용하였다.
개념적으로는 회색 벨크로 단자를 평평하게 또는 구부려 연결하고 뫼비우스 띠처럼 비틀어 브로치 외부 면과 내부 면의 경계선을 모호하게 하였다. 이는 알루미늄 단자를 평평하게 또는 구부려 연결한 DDP 건축 방식을 추상화했을 뿐 아니라 DDP의 건축가 자하 하디드가 중요하게 생각했던 “외부와 내부 경계선의 넘나듦"을 표현하기 위함이다.
