엔조 마리는 남을 위해 베풀고 공유하는 ‘윤리’를 과정과 결과 속에서 일관되게 풀어내는 디자이너입니다.
엔조 마리의 정교하고 사회공헌적인 디자인은 ‘90%를 위한 디자인’ 개념의 시초라고도 할 수 있습니다.
친환경적으로 삼나무를 활용한 가구, 교육용 완구, 소재와 기능, 형태를 고려한 생활용품, 객관성과 보편성에 기반을 둔 그래픽 등
폭넓은 분야를 아우르는 엔조 마리의 50년에 걸친 윤리의 디자인 작업 270여 점을 한 눈에 볼 수 있는 전시를 기록하였습니다.
‘엔조 마리 디자인’ 전시를 통해 디자인의 역할과 시장가치 대신 윤리가치를 지닌 디자인 개념을 실천한 사례를 엿볼 기회가 되기를 바랍니다.
