물레를 차서 흙을 빚는 전통적인 제작방법에서 벗어나 슬립 캐스팅으로
만들어낸 4각의 원형을 마치 종이를 다루듯 자르고 접어 형태를 완성하고 역상감 기법을 통해 기물의 표면에 줄무늬를 새겨 넣었다. 모던한 형태와 개성 있는 볼륨감을 만들어내는 데 있어 돌이나 나무 등의 자연물과 다양한 건축물들에서 조형적, 구조적인 영감을 얻어 독특하면서도 자연스러운 조형을 완성하고 실용적인 사용이 가능하게 만들고자 하였다.
이 작업을 통해 사람들이 새로운 시선으로 도자기를 바라보는 기회를 얻게 되길 바라며 더 나아가 실제적인 사용을 통해 경험할 수 있길 바란다.
